227k 09 May 2010: St. Petersburg, Russia - Lt.(jg) Curtis Sanders slides safely into first base as sailors from the guided-missile frigate Kauffman play baseball against the St. Petersburg North Stars, a Russian semi-pro baseball team. Kauffman is in St. Petersburg to participate in the commemoration of the 65th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. Visits such as these serve to strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and Russian navies.
