Post WWII, the Number One 3"/50 was replaced with a turreted 5"/38 gun mount.
Machinery, 12,000 SHP; G. E. Turbines with electric drive, 2 screws
Speed, 24 Knots, Range 6,000 NM @ 12 Knts. Crew 186.

Laid down by Bethlehem Steel, Quincy on 29 June 1943, Launched 21 August 1943.
Commissioned 25 September 1943.
Assigned to NRT, 6th Naval District at Charleston SC, December 1957
Decommissioned 2 September 1958, placed "in service" as a unit of the Select Reserve ASW Force
Recommissioned 2 October 1961 for the Berlin Crisis, Decommissioned and placed "in service" 1 August 1962
Assigned to NRT, 6th Naval District at St. Petersburg FL 1 August 1962
Out of Service 20 February 1967, Stricken 20 February 1967.
Fate Sold for scrap, 6 September 1967
Lipsett, Inc. of NYC and broken up at Kearny NJ
