Klakring 244k 03 July 2002: Off the coast of Chile - Fire Control Technician 2nd Class Joseph Baccam keeps watch over the guided missile frigate USS Klakring (FFG 42) as the ship leaves the port city of Coquimbo, Chile, to participate in the Pacific Phase of UNITAS. UNITAS (Latin for unity) involves warships from six countries participating in ten days of intense wargames designed to build multinational coalitions while promoting hemispheric defense and mutual cooperation.

Klakring 198k 11 October 2002: Mayport, Fla. - Machinery Repairman 2nd Class Chris Moran from Klakring wraps line around a patch as the Klakring team races to beat other Naval Station Mayport commands during a pipe-patching contest. The contest was a part of the Surface Navy Olympics Week, a deck/seamanship competition held in October. The Surface Navy Association hosted the event, designed to promote good will and comradery between all commands located in Mayport.
