Tench Class Submarine: Laid down, 25 April 1945, at Electric Boat Co., Groton, CT.; Contract canceled, 7 January 1946; Contract reinstated, 26 February 1946; Launched, 1 August 1946; Accepted by the US Navy, 3 September 1946; Laid up in the Atlantic Reserve Fleet at New London, CT.; Struck from the Naval Register, 17 November 1959; Final Disposition, sold for scrapping 10 July 1959 to Marlene Blouse Co., NYC for $ 13,600.00 & scrapped in Kearny, NJ.

Unicorn 160k The boat on the left is the Unicorn (SS-436). She was launched 1 August 1946 and never completed. She was struck from the Navy lists on 9 June 1958 and sold for scrap 17 November 1959. The boat on the right is the Walrus (SS-437) and she was launched on 20 September 1946 and never completed. She was struck on 9 June 1958 as well and sold for scrap on 7 October 1959.
