Built by Odense Staalskibsvaerft A/S, Lindo, Denmark, as MV Estelle Maersk in 1979

Acquired by the Navy under a long-term charter in 1983

Converted by Bethlehem Steel at Sparrows Point, MD.

Launched on 14 July 1984

Placed in service under the direction of the Military Sealift Command (MSC) as MV CPL Louis J. Hauge, Jr. (AK-3000), 7 September 1984, operated by Maersk Line Ltd.

MV CPL Louis J. Hauge, Jr. (AK-3000) was one of the Military Sealift Command's seventeen Container & Roll-on/Roll-off Ships and was part of the 33 ships in the Prepositioning Program.

MV CPL Louis J. Hauge, Jr. (AK-3000) was assigned to Maritime Prepositioning Ship Squadron Three. She carried equipment to support a US Marine Corps Expeditionary Brigade

Returned to commercial service in 2009, renamed MV Abby G, operated by Maersk Line Ltd.

Early 2010, operated by Sealift Inc., name retained

Final Disposition, sold for scrapping in August 2010, delivered to Alang, India for dismantling
