  • Laid down in 1961 as SS Export Agent a Maritime Administration type (C4-S-58a) hull under Maritime Administration contract (MA 318) at National Steel and Shipbuilding Co., San Diego, CA.
  • Launched 1961
  • Delivered to the Maritime Administration, 1961 for operation by American Export Lines
  • Named changed to SS Agent, date unknown
  • Reacquired by the Maritime Administration and laid up in the Maritime Administrations National Defense Reserve Fleet
  • When activated SS Agent (AK-5015) was assigned to the Military Sealift Command (MSC) as one of the Military Sealift Command's Modular Cargo Delivery System Ready Reserve Force (RRF) Ships
  • Agent could be activated as needed
  • Downgraded from RRF and laid up in the Maritime Administrations (MARAD) National Defense Reserve Fleet in 2001
