  • Laid down, 9 April 1945, as a Maritime Commission type (T1-MT-BT1) tanker hull, under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 2632), at St Johns River Shipbuilding, Jacksonville, FL.
  • Acquired on loan charter basis from the Maritime Commission in 1945
  • Naval acquisition officially canceled, 29 August 1945
  • Launched, 11 August 1945 as M/V Mexia
  • Delivered to the Maritime Commission, 18 September 1945
  • Leased for commercial service by the Maritime Commission
  • Final Disposition, burnt and sank in 1971
