Rincon Class Gasoline Tanker:

Laid down, 19 February 1945, as MV Tarcoola, a Maritime Commission type (T1-M-BT2) tanker hull, under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 2639) at Todd Shipbuilding, Houston, TX.

Launched, 15 March 1945

Delivered to the Maritime Commission, 12 September 1945, for operation under contract as a merchant tanker, renamed Belridge

Acquired by the US Navy, 14 August 1950

Placed in service by the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS) as USNS Nodaway (T-AOG-78), 11 September 1950

Placed out of service and delivered to the Maritime Administration (MARAD) at Mobile, AL., 11 December 1959, for temporary custody in full lay-up status

Re-acquired by the US Navy and placed in service in August 1965 as USNS Nodaway T-AOG-78)

Assigned to the MSC Ready Reserve Force (RRF) in October 1995, custody remained with MARAD, berthed at Tsuneishi, Japan

Downgraded from RRF status for disposal, pending sale, 30 September 2006

Final Disposition, disposed of by MARAD sale, 16 December 2006, to Teroaka Company of Japan
