  • Laid down, 1 May 1956, as a Maritime Administration type (T1-M2-4A) arctic tanker hull, under Maritime Administration contract (MA-45) at Bethlehem Steel, Baltimore, MD.
  • Launched, 4 December 1956
  • Acquired by the Navy, 22 October 1957 and placed in service with the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS) as USNS Chattahoochee (T-AOG-82)
  • Placed out of service, date unknown
  • Custody transferred to MARAD for lay up in the Ready Reserve Force, at Tsuneishi, Japan
  • Downgraded from RRF status to disposal, pending sale, 30 September 2006
  • Final Disposition, disposed of by MARAD sale, 16 December 2006, to Teroaka Company of Japan
