  • During the Civil War USS Oliver H. Lee was assigned to CDR. David Dixon Porters Mortar Flotilla on the Mississippi River
    Participated in the attacks on Forts St. Philip and Jackson, 18 to 24 April 1862
    Subsequently supported operations on the Mississippi River including the siege of Vicksburg
    Decommissioned for repairs, 14 June 1862, at New York
    Recommissioned, 23 August 1862, at New York
    Assigned to serve in Florida waters, capturing schooner Sort
    Participated in operations near St. Marks, FL., February and March 1865
  • Decommissioned, 19 July 1865, at Philadelphia, PA.
  • Sold at public auction, 10 August 1865
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown
