  • Built as the United States Revenue Cutter USRC Morgan, date and location unknown
  • Seized by Confederates in 1861
  • Outfitted for Naval service at Mobile, AL. in 1861-62
  • During the Civil War CSS Morgan, CDR. G. W. Harrison CSN in command, operated in the waters around Mobile Bay, AL.
  • Participated in the battle of Mobile Bay, 5 August 1864
  • Took part in the battle near Blakely, GA., sustaining considerable damage
  • Surrendered, 4 May 1865, to Union forces
  • Sold in December 1866
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown
