  • Commissioned, 28 August 1861, Acting Master E. H. Faucon in command.
  • USS Fearnot was assigned to the Gulf Blockading Squadron, 17 September 1861, at Key West as coal and supply ship
  • After the fall of, New Orleans Fearnot provided coal and supplies at Ship Island
  • From October 1865 to May 1866, Fearnot carried surplus ordnance to Pensacola, and guarded the large amounts of ammunition accumulating there
  • Decommissioned, 18 July 1866, at Boston
  • Sold 3 October 1866
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown
