Sternwheel Steamer:
  • Dick Fulton was built in 1857 in Allegheny County, PA.
  • Purchased by the War Department, 18 May 1862
  • Assigned to to the Col. Charles Ellet, Jr. USA, Western Flotilla on the Mississippi River as an Auxiliary
  • Dick Fulton served the Ram Fleet and its successor, the Marine Brigade, as a tug until the latter was dissolved on 24 August 1864.
  • Taken into the Navy in August 1864.
  • Following the Civil War Dick Fulton was sold into merchant service, 3 January 1866 and redocumented as Baltic
  • Final Disposition, exploded and lost at New Orleans with loss of four lives, 20 February 1866
