CDR. Daniel A. Follett, USN
Commanding Officer

CDR Daniel Follett is a native of Branchville, SC. He was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at The Citadel in 2002.

Afloat, CDR Follett has deployed to the Arabian Gulf, Horn of Africa, the Pacific, and the Caribbean in support of numerous joint and combined operations. He previously served as the Commanding Officer of USS TORTUGA (LSD 46), PATROL COASTAL CREW HOTEL and USS ZEPHYR (PC 8). Other sea tours include First Lieutenant aboard USS CORMORANT (MHC 57), Damage Control Assistant aboard USS PORT ROYAL (CG 73), Combat Systems Officer aboard USS CROMMELIN (FFG 37), Future Operations Officer of Destroyer Squadron THREE ONE (CDS 31), and Executive Officer of USS PEARL HARBOR (LSD 52)

Ashore, CDR Follett served in the Commander’s Action Group and as Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations (N3) for Commander Naval Surface Forces, ATLANTIC. CDR Follett’s most recent assignment was as 4.0 Military Deputy, Naval Information Warfare Center, ATLANTIC.

CDR Follett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from The Citadel and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.

CDR Follett has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (2 Awards), Navy Commendation Medal (4 Awards), Navy Achievement Medal (3 Awards), and various campaign, service, and unit awards.
