  • Laid down in 1942, New Jersey Shipbuilding, Barber, N.J.
  • Launched in 1943
  • Transferred under terms of the Lend-Lease Act to the United Kingdom, commissioned, HM LCI(L)-298, 23 January 1943
  • Temporally loaned to Canada, commissioned HMC LCI(L)-298, 4 December 1943, LT. James S. Monteath RCNVR (Temp.) in command
  • During World War II HMC LCI(L)-298 was assigned to the Europe-Africa-Middle East Theater, 1st Canadian LCI Flotilla (Royal Navy LCI Flotilla 260), and participated in the following campaign:

    Invasion of Normandy, 6 to 25 June 1944

  • Decommissioned by the Canadian Navy, 13 September 1944, returned to Royal Navy custody
  • Returned to US Naval custody, 13 February 1946

  • Transferred to the State Department for disposal
  • Final Disposition, sold, 13 February 1948, fate unknown
