  • Commissioned USS LCI(L)-690, 31 May 1944;
  • During World War II USS LCI(L)-690 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, LCI Flotilla 22, and participated in the following campaigns:
    Asiatic-Pacific Campaigns
    Campaign and Dates Campaign and Dates
    Luzon operation
    Lingayen Gulf landing, 9 to 18 January 1945
    Consolidation and capture of Southern Philippines
    Mindanao Island landings, 17 to 23 April 1945

  • Following World War II USS LCI(L)-690 performed occupation duty in the Far East including service in China from 11 September to 9 December 1945
  • USS LCI(L)-690 served as LCI Flotilla 22 flagship, CDR Philip Porter USN commanding, from 10 October 1945
  • Decommissioned, date unknown
  • Struck from the Naval Register in 1946
  • Final Disposition, sold, 9 November 1946, fate unknown
  • USS LCI(L)-690 received the Navy Unit Commendation for service in Salvage, Fire Fighting, and Rescue Unit, Service Force, 7th Fleet - Philippine Islands area, 6 January to 15 February 1945, and two battle stars for World War II service.
