  • Transferred to the United Kingdom, 28 January 1943, under terms of the Lend-Lease program, redesignated HM LCT-2227
  • Armor plating added in early 1944 in the United Kingdom prior to Reverse Lend-Lease to the US Navy, redesignated LCT(A)-2227
  • During World War II LCT(A)-2227 (ENS. Victor Hicken OinC) was assigned to the Europe-Africa-Middle East Theater and participated in the following campaign:

  • Struck from the Naval Register, 25 February 1946
  • LCT(5)-227 earned one battle star for World War II service as LCT(5)(A)-2227
  • Delivered, 9 October 1947, to the Foreign Liquidation Commission for disposal
