  • Placed in reduced commission, 9 May 1945, for transit to her conversion yard at Mobile AL.
  • Decommissioned, 21 May 1945, at Mobile, AL. and converted to a Landing Craft Repair Ship
  • Recommissioned USS Daedalus (ARL-35), 19 October 1945
  • Decommissioned, 23 October 1947, for lay up in the Atlantic Reserve Fleet at Green Cove Springs, FL.
  • Struck from the Naval Register (date unknown)
  • Sold 28 October 1960, to Norfolk, Baltimore and Caroline Line, for commercial service, named Virginia Clipper
  • Resold in 1978 to Thor Corporation of Venezuela
  • Final Disposition fate unknown
