Andromeda Class Attack Cargo Ship: Laid down, 2 December 1944, as a Maritime Commission type (C2-S-B1) hull, under a Maritime Commission contract, at Federal Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Kearny, NJ; Launched, 11 March 1945; Commissioned, USS Rolette (AKA-99), 27 April 1945, at Boston Navy Yard, Boston, MA.; Decommissioned, 1945, at San Francisco, CA.; Returned to the Maritime Commission for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Suisun Bay, Benecia, CA.; Struck from the Naval Register, 23 April 1947; Reinstated in the Naval Register, 13 August 1951; Recommissioned, 23 February 1952, at Oakland, CA.; Decommissioned, 1 May 1956, at Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Vallejo, CA.; Assigned to the Pacific Reserve Fleet; Struck from the Naval Register, 1 July 1960; Returned to the Maritime Administration, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet; Final Disposition, fate unknown.
