  • Laid down 24 November 1941 by the Dravo Corp., Neville Island, Pittsburg, PA
  • Launched 28 March 1942
  • Commissioned USS Despite (AM 89), 31 August 1942
  • Reclassified as a Submarine Chaser, PC-1593, 1 June 1944
  • Decommissioned 17 December 1945 at Jacksonville, FL
  • Struck from the Naval Register 8 January 1946
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission for disposal 16 September 1946
  • Acquired in 1947 by Cornelius Kroll and Co. of Houston, TX for use as a tugboat and named Mustang
  • Scrapped in 1957.
