Pioneer served the Navies of the United States and Mexico.

  • The first Pioneer was laid down 30 October 1941 by the Pennsylvania Shipyards, Inc., Beaumont, TX
  • Launched 26 July 1942
  • Commissioned USS Pioneer (AM 105), 27 February 1943
  • Decommissioned 8 July 1946 at San Diego, CA
    Naval Vessel Register of 1 January 1949 lists out of commission, in reserve as December 1945
  • Reclassified as a Fleet Minesweeper (Steel Hull), MSF-105, 7 February 1955
  • Struck from the Navy Register 1 July 1972
  • Sold to Mexico 19 September 1972 and renamed Leandro Valle (C 70)
  • Reclassified P-101 and G-01
  • Fate unknown.
