Admirable Class Minesweeper: Originally planned as Clamour (AMc 137); Changed to AM-160, 21 February 1942; Laid down, 26 May 1942 by the Willamette Iron and Steel Corp., Portland, OR; Launched, 15 December 1942; Commissioned USS Clamour (AM 160), 14 March 1944; Decommissioned, 12 June 1946 at San Diego, CA; Reclassified as a Fleet Minesweeper (Steel Hull), MSF-160, 7 February 1955; Scrapped in 1959.
Specifications: Displacement 650 t.; Length 184' 6"; Beam 33'; Draft 9' 9"; Speed 14.8 kts; Complement 104; Armament one single 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two twin 40mm gun mounts, one depth charge thrower (hedgehogs), two depth charge tracks; Propulsion two 1,710shp ALCO 539 diesel engines, Farrel-Birmingham, single reduction gear, two shafts.
