Hilarity served the Navies of the United States and Mexico.

Admirable Class Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 20 March 1944 by the Winslow Marine Railway and Shipbuilding Co., Inc., Winslow, WA
  • Launched 30 July 1944
  • Commissioned Hilarity (AM 241), 27 November 1944
    Naval Vessel Register of 1 January 1949 lists plan for decommissioning and placing in reserve as December 1945
  • Decommissioned 26 August 1946 at Orange, TX and laid up in the Atlantic Reserve Fleet, Texas Group, Orange
  • Reclassified as a Fleet Minesweeper (Steel Hull), MSF-241, 7 February 1955
  • Transferred to Mexico 2 October 1962 and renamed DM-02
  • Struck from the Navy list in 1986
  • Scrapped 1 August 1988.
