Admirable Class Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 5 June 1943 by the American Ship Building Co., Lorain, OH
  • Launched 23 October 1943
  • Commissioned USS Measure (AM 263), 5 May 1944
  • Decommissioned 20 May 1945
  • Transferred under lend-lease to the Soviet Union 21 May 1945 and reclassified T-275
  • Participated in landings at Seising, Korea 15 August 1945
  • Awarded the Krasnoe Znamya order, (Order of the Red Banner) 14 September 1945
  • Decommissioned 23 October 1947, converted to a Whaler and named Buran (Blizzard)
  • Scrapped in 1960.

  • Propulsion: Two 1,710shp Cooper Bessemer GSB-8 diesel engines, National Supply Co. single reduction gear, two shafts.
