HMS Lightfoot (J 288)
AM-331 served the Navies of Great Britain and Greece.
Algerine Class Minesweeper: Laid down 18 August 1942 as AM-331 by Toronto Shipbuilding, Ltd., Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Renamed Redfern Construction Company in August 1943); Launched 14 November 1942; Completed 19 October 1943 and transferred to Great Britain as HMS Lightfoot (J 288); Returned to U.S. custody 10 December 1946; Sold to Greece in February 1948 as RHN Navmachos (M 64); Struck from the Navy Register in 1976. Fate unknown.
Specifications: Displacement 850 t.; Length 225'; Beam 35' 6"; Draft 8' 6"; Speed 16.5 kts; Complement 85; Armament one 4" and eight 20mm mounts; Propulsion verticle triple expansion, reciprocating steam engine, two shafts.
