Admirable Class Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 30 August 1943 as AM-351 by the Willamette Iron and Steel Corp., Portland, OR
  • Named Adjutant 11 April 1944
  • Launched 17 June 1944
  • Construction canceled 1 November 1945
  • Sold for scrap in 1946.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 945 t.
  • Length 184' 6"
  • Beam 33'
  • Draft 9' 9"
  • Propulsion: Two 1,710shp Busch Sulzer 539 diesel engines, Farrel-Birmingham single reduction gear, two shafts.
