Ruddy served the Navies of the United States and Peru

  • Laid down 24 February 1944 by the Gulf Shipbuilding Corp., Chickasaw, AL
  • Launched 29 October 1944
  • Commissioned USS Ruddy (AM 380), 28 April 1945
    Naval Vessel Register of 1 January 1949 lists plan for decommissioning and placing in reserve as December 1945
  • Decommissioned 15 January 1947 at San Diego, CA.
  • Recommissioned 12 March 1952
  • Reclassified as a Fleet Minesweeper (Steel Hull), MSF-380, 10 February 1955
  • Decommissioned 31 August 1956 at San Diego
  • Transferred 1 November 1960 to Peru under the terms of the Military Assistance Program and renamed Galvez (M 68)
  • Struck from the Navy Register 17 May 1974
  • Transferred to the Peruvian Coast Guard in 1975
  • Retired in 1981
  • Fate unknown.
