  • Launched 10 March 1945
  • Commissioned USS Waxwing (AM-389), 16 August 1945
    Naval Vessel Register of 1 January 1949 lists plan for decommissioning and placing in reserve as December 1946
  • Decommissioned 12 May 1947 at San Francisco, CA and laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet
  • Recommissioned 19 March 1952 at San Diego, CA
  • Reclassified as a Fleet Minesweeper (Steel Hull), MSF-389, 7 February 1955
  • Decommissioned 1 May 1957 at Astoria, Oregon
  • Transferred to Taiwan 14 October 1965 and renamed Chu Yang (PCE-67)
  • Reclassified PCE-867
  • Decommissioned from Taiwanese Navy and struck from the Naval Register 16 February 1998
  • Fate unknown.
