  • Acquired by the Navy 18 October 1940
  • Commissioned USS Cockatoo (AMc 8), 25 April 1941
  • Struck from the Naval Register 8 May 1946
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission 23 September 1946
  • Acquired in 1947 by Andrew Vidovich of San Pedro, CA for use as a fishing boat
  • Acquired in 1948 by Paul Marinkovich of San Pedro
  • Foundered 23 July 1949 about 3 miles west of Catalina Island, CA.

  • Draft 8' 11"
  • Speed 9 kts.

  • Armament: One .50 cal. machine gun
