  • Laid down 12 September 1995 by Intermarine USA, Savannah, GA
  • Launched 24 May 1997
  • Delivered 11 January 1999
  • Commissioned 31 May 1999 at Baton Rouge, LA
  • Decommissioned 1 December 2007 at Naval Station Ingleside, TX and struck from the Navy register
  • Towed to Beaumont, TX 10 December 2007 and laid up for possible future use in the Foreign Military Sales program
  • Fate unknown.

  • Electronics: Sensors/Navigation Systems AN/SYQ-13 Navigation, Command & Control System, AN/SPS-64(V)9 surface search radar, AN/SPA-25G radar display; AN/UQN-4A sonar sounding set,
    AN/WSN-2 stabilized gyrocompass, Hyper-fix radio navigation system, Plotting table; Loran C, Military global positioning system (GPS), AN/BQH-7A expendable bathythermograph set; Mine Countermeasures Systems AN/SLQ-48(V)2 mine neutralization system (MNS), AN/SQQ-32 mine hunting sonar.

Shrike, along with elements of Mine Warfare Readiness Group Four, participated in a number of exercises, including Joint Task Force Exercise 02-1 with the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy

    Secretary of the Navy Gordon R. England is greeted by Information Systems Technician 1st Class (Surface Warfare) Hugh Beresford, of Kent, Wash., on the quarterdeck of Shrike. Petty Officer Beresford said the greeting was unique since his father, who retired from the Navy, had a chance to meet former Secretary of the Navy Paul Nitze in 1967. Petty Officer Beresford received a commemorative coin and took several photos with the SECNAV during the brief visit
