Adjutant Class Motor Minesweeper: Laid down in 1952 as AMS-85 by Stephen Brothers, Inc., Stockton, CA; Launched in 1953; Completed 30 November 1953 and transferred to France as Giroflée (M 677); Commissioned 1 June 1954; Reclassified MSC-85, 7 February 1955; Decommissioned 2 November 1977 and struck from the Naval Register; Sold 19 September 1980; Scrapped in 1981.
Specifications: Displacement 405 t.; Length 144'; Beam 27'; Draft 9'; Speed 14 kts; Complement 40; Armament, two twin 20-mm; Propulsion General Motors diesels, two shafts.
