AMS-86 was built for France.
Adjutant Class Motor Minesweeper:

  • Laid down AMS-86 by Stephen Brothers, Inc., Stockton, CA
  • Completed 24 January 1954, transferred to France and named Laurier (M 681)
  • Commissioned 24 June 1954
  • Reclassified by U.S. Navy as a Coastal Minesweeper, MSC-86, 7 February 1955
  • Sold 29 December 1980 and struck from the Navy Register
  • Scrapped in 1983 at Toulon, France.

  • Displacement 405 t.
  • Length 144'
  • Beam 27'
  • Draft 9'
  • Speed 14 kts.
  • Complement 40
  • Armament: Two twin 20mm mounts
  • Propulsion: Two General Motors diesel engines, two shafts.
