AMS-150 was built for The Netherlands

Adjutant Class Motor Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 1 May 1952 as AMS-150 by the George W. Kneass Co., San Francisco, CA
  • Launched 12 September 1953
  • Placed in service 28 July 1954 as HNLMS Brouwershaven (M 858)
  • Completed 30 October 1954 and transferred to The Netherlands
  • Reclassified by the U. S. Navy as a Coastal Minesweeper, MSC-150, 7 February 1955
  • Placed out of service 23 April 1976
  • Struck from the Naval Register in 1 July 1976 and sold for scrap to W. Mantel of Amsterdam, Holland.

  • Length 144'
  • Beam 27'
  • Draft 9'
  • Speed 14 kts.
  • Complement 40
  • Armament: Two twin 20mm mounts
  • Propulsion: Two General Motors diesel engines, two shafts.
