  • Laid down 8 January 1955 as AMS-181 by Gusto v/h fa. F.A. Smulders - Schiedam, The Netherlands under the off-shore procurement plan of the Military Defense Assistance Pact and based on the design
    of the British "Ton" Class Coastal Minesweeper
  • Reclassified by U. S. Navy as a Coastal Minesweeper, MSC-181, 7 February 1955
  • Launched 24 March 1956
  • Completed 1 April 1956
  • Commissioned Drunen (M 818), 30 August 1956
  • Underwent Fleet Rehabilitation and Modernization (FRAM) program from February 1968 to 1970
  • Recommissioned 3 December 1970 as a Minehunter
  • Placed out of service 19 April 1984
  • Scrapped 19 March 1987 at Amsterdam, Holland.
