  • Laid down 24 March 1955 by Niestern scheepsbouw unie, Hellevoetsluis, Holland under the off-shore procurement plan of the Military Defense Assistance Pact and based on the design of the British
    "Ton" Class Coastal Minesweeper
  • Launched 26 April 1956
  • Completed 25 October 1956
  • Commissioned Sittard (M 830), 19 December 1956
  • Underwent Fleet Rehabilitation and Modernization (FRAM) program in 1975/1976
  • Decommissioned 13 December 1996
  • Struck from the Navy Register 23 November 1997 and transferred to the Sea Cadets in Harlingen, Holland.
