  • The second Phoebe was laid down 26 February 1953 as AMS-199 by the Harbor Boat Building Co., Terminal Island, CA
  • Launched 21 August 1954
  • Reclassified as a Coastal Minesweeper MSC-199, 7 February 1955
  • Commissioned USS Phoebe (MSC 199), 29 April 1955
  • Decommissioned 14 December 1970 and placed in service as a Reserve training vessel
  • Struck from the Naval Register 1 July 1975
  • Disposed of 1 September 1976 through the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service for scrap.

  • Length 144' 3"
  • Beam 27' 2"
  • Draft 12'
  • Speed 13.6 kts.
