AMS-218 Class Motor Minesweeper: Originally planned as AMS-263; Reclassified as a Coastal Minesweeper, MSC-263, 7 February 1955; Laid down 29 July 1955 by Harbor Boat Building Co., Terminal Island, CA; Launched 22 December 1955; Completed 30 August 1956 and transferred to Denmark as Ulvsund
(M 577); Commissioned 20 September 1956; Decommissioned 31 December 1989. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 375 t.; Length 144'; Beam 27'; Draft 8' 3"; Speed 14 kts; Complement 39; Armament two 20mm, replaced by one 40mm in 1965; Propulsion 880 shp General Motors 8-268A diesel engines, two shafts.
