  • Launched 10 May 1960
  • Commissioned HNLMS Chömpff (M 874), 19 December 1960
  • Struck from the Navy Register 1 January 1984
  • Scrapped in 1988 at Zaandam, Holland.

    MSI-9 8k Luitenant ter Zee Jan Marie Lodewijk Ignasius Chömpff, 21 December 1904 - 19 February 1942, was serving in HNLMS Piet Hein when it was sunk 19 February 1942 during the Battle of Badung Strait where she was struck by a Long Lance torpedo fired from the Japanese destroyer IJN Asashio. He was posthumously awarded the Military Order of William 4th class Arie van Mazijk
