MSI-93


MSI-93 served the Navies of Belgium and South Korea.

MSI-1 Class Inshore Minesweeper: Laid down as MSI-93 by the Mercantile Marine Yard, Kruibeke, Belgium; Commissioned as Tournai (M 481); Transferred to South Korea in 1970. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 120 t.; Length 112'; Beam 23'; Draft 8'; Speed 15 kts; Complement 21; Armament one twin 20mm Oerliken; One Mercedes Benz V12 700kw magnetic pulse generator and two 6-cylinder Gardiner 60kw diesel generators; Propulsion two 700kw Mercedes Benz V12 diesel engines, reduction to one shaft.
