  • Laid down 14 June 1941 at the Boston Navy Yard, Boston, Massachusetts
  • Launched 10 December 1941
  • Commissioned USS Doran (DD-634), 4 August 1942
  • Reclassified and converted to a Highspeed Minesweeper, DMS-41, 30 May 1945
  • Decommissioned 29 January 1947 at San Diego, CA and laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet
  • Reclassified back to a Destroyer, DD-634, 15 July 1955
  • Struck from the Navy Register 15 January 1972
  • Sold for scrap 1 September 1973 by the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service.
