YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper: Laid down, 27 June 1941 by the Stadium Yacht Basin, Inc., Cleveland, OH; Launched, 5 May 1942; Commissioned USS YMS-80, 15 July 1942; Named Albatross and reclassified as a Motor Minesweeper, AMS-1, 18 August 1947; Reclassified as an Experimental Motor Minesweeper, EAMS-1, 7 February 1955; Reclassified as a Expermiental Coastal Minesweeper (Old), EMSC(O)-1, 10 February 1955; Decommissioned and struck from the Naval Register, 20 March 1958; Sold 19 February 1959 to Dorado Inc. of Wildwood, NJ and renamed Dorado.
