BYMS-2141 served the Navies of Great Britian and Italy.

YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 24 March 1943 as YMS-141 by the Astoria Marine Construction Co., Astoria, OR
  • Launched 19 July 1943
  • Completed 28 August 1943, transferred to Great Britian and reclassified HMS J-941
  • Reclassified HMS BYMS-2141
  • Returned to U.S. custody 23 May 1947, transferred to the State Department, Foreign Liquidation Commission, sold to Italy and named Dalia
  • Struck from the Naval Register 10 June 1947
  • Struck from Italian list in 1966
  • Fate unknown.

  • Displacement 270 t.
  • Length 136'
  • Beam 24' 6"
  • Draft 8'
  • Speed 15 kts.
  • Complement 32;
  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts and two depth charge projectors
  • Propulsion: Two 880bhp General Motors 8-268A diesel engines, Snow and Knobstedt single reduction gear, two shafts.
