BYMS-25 was built for Great Britain.
BYMS-1 Class Motor Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 12 August 1941 as BYMS-25 by the Ballard Marine Railway Co., Inc., Seattle, WA
  • Launched 21 February 1942
  • Completed, transferred to Great Britain 14 July 1942 and reclassified HMS J-825
  • Reclassified HMS BYMS-2025
  • Returned to U.S. custody 10 December 1946
  • Transferred to the State Department, Foreign Liquidation Commission 20 December 1947 and sold
  • Fate unknown.

  • Length 136'
  • Beam 24' 6"
  • Draft 8'
  • Speed 15 kts.
  • Complement 32
  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts and two depth charge tracks
  • Propulsion: Two 880bhp General Motors 8-268A diesel engines, Snow and Knobstedt single reduction gear, two shafts.
