BYMS-1 Class Motor Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 1 October 1941 as BYMS-27 by the Ballard Marine Railway Co., Inc., Seattle, WA
  • Launched 23 May 1942
  • Completed 20 September 1942
  • Transferred to Great Britain and reclassified HMS J-827, 21 September 1942
  • Reclassified HMS BYMS-2027
  • Returned to U.S. custody 23 May 1947; transferred to the State Department, Foreign Liquidation Commission; sold to Italy and named Orleandro (DR 415)
  • Reclassified M-5411
  • Struck from the Naval Register 10 June 1947
  • Struck from the Italian registry in 1966
  • Fate unknown.

  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts and two depth charge tracks
