YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper: Laid down 15 January 1942 as YMS-203 by the Hiltebrant Dock Co., Kingston, NY; Launched, 15 January 1943; Completed 31 August 1943 and transferred to the Royal Navy as BYMS-2203; Returned to U. S. custody, 12 November 1946; Struck from the Naval Register, 13 December 1946. Fate unknown.
Specifications: Displacement 270 t.; Length 136'; Beam 24' 6"; Draft 8'; Speed 15 kts; Complement 32; Armament one single 3"/50 gun mount, two 20mm, two dcp; Propulsion two 880bhp General Motors 8-268A diesel engines, two shafts.
