BYMS-67 served the Navies of Great Britain and Greece.
BYMS-1 Class Motor Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 25 April 1942 as BYMS-67 by Wheeler Shipbuilding Corp., Whitestone, NY
  • Launched 25 January 1943
  • Completed 23 February 1943, transferred to Great Britain and reclassified J-867
  • Reclassified BYMS-2067
  • Returned to U.S. custody 12 August 1944; transferred to the State Department, Foreign Liquidation Commission; further transferred to Greece and named Salaminia (M 205) the same day
  • Transferred outright to Greece 22 July 1952
  • Struck from the Naval Register 8 August 1952
  • Struck from the Greek registry in 1960
  • Fate unknown.

  • Beam 24' 6"
  • Draft 8'
  • Speed 15 kts.
  • Complement 32
  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts and two depth charge tracks
  • Propulsion: Two 880bhp General Motors 8-268A diesel engines, Snow and Knobstedt single reduction gear, two shafts.
