  • Laid down 11 May 1942 by Stadium Yacht Basin Inc., Cleveland, OH
  • Launched 12 September 1942
  • Completed and commissioned USS YMS-238, 23 November 1942
  • Named Flamingo and reclassified as a Motor Minesweeper, AMS-11, 18 February 1947
    Naval Vessel Register of 1 January 1949 lists plan for decommissioning and placing in reserve as February 1947
  • Reclassified as a Coastal Minesweeper (Old), MSC(O)-11, 7 February 1955
  • Struck from the Naval Register 1 November 1959
  • Fate unknown.

  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts, and two depth charge projectors
