  • The third Hawk was laid down 24 November 1942 as YMS-362 by Robert Jacobs Inc., City Island, NY
  • Launched 22 May 1943
  • Completed 30 September 1943
  • Commissioned USS YMS-362, 4 October 1943
  • Present in Tokyo Bay during Japanese surrender ceremony in September 1945
  • Named Hawk and reclassified as a Motor Minesweeper, AMS-17, 17 February 1947
  • Reclassified as a Coastal Minesweeper (Old), MSC(O)-17, 7 February 1955
  • Struck from the Navy Register 17 October 1957 and sold
  • Fate unknown.
