YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper:Laid down 28 January 1943 by Henry C. Grebe and Co., Inc., Chicago, IL
  • Launched 6 September 1943
  • Completed 20 November 1943 and commissioned USS YMS-406
  • Transferred to Norway 18 May 1945 and reclassified and commissioned HNoMS NYMS-406
  • Named and reclassified HNoMS Rana (M 330) in 1948
  • Returned to U.S. custody 7 June 1948 (on paper only); transferred to the State Department, Foreign Liquidation Commission and sold to Norway the same day
  • Struck from the Naval Register 12 August 1948
  • Struck from the Norwegian Naval Register in August 1962
  • Fate unknown.
