  • Laid down 15 June 1944 by the J. M. Martinac Shipbuilding Corp., Tacoma, WA
  • Launched 14 March 1945
  • Completed and commissioned USS YMS-436, 31 May 1945 under the command of LT J. W. Nelson, USNR
  • Decommissioned 1 January 1947
  • Struck from the Naval Register 5 March 1947
  • Transferred to the War Shipping Administration 13 May 1947
  • Acquired later in 1947 by Velero II, Inc. of Los Angeles, CA for use as a fishing boat and named La Obra
  • Acquired in 1948 by Independent Tankships, Inc. of Washington, DC and renamed Badaway
  • Operated in 1952 under the Saudi Arabian flag
  • Fate unknown.

  • Draft 8'
  • Speed 15 kts.

  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts, and two depth charge projectors
